Donations
From PHP-EMS-Tools
If you've found that PHP EMS Tools is helpful to your organization, or are just a nice person, please remember that I have released this as free software for the benefit of the world. I have gotten nothing out of programming it, and was not paid to write the original version for my purely volunteer organization.
That being said, there are two ways in which you can show your support (other than just spreading the word, or E-mailing me and telling me how much you like it):
- The Midland Park Ambulance Corps has been a volunteer organization, funded 100% by donations (we don't get anything from town taxes) since 1942. In these days of ever more expensive equipment, this isn't always an easy task. I highly encourage anyone interested to send a donation to MPAC (we're a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so this is tax-deductable). You can do this either on the above linked site via PayPal or by mail:
Midland Park Ambulance Corps
PO Box 38
Midland Park, NJ
07432
- Developing software isn't always easy, especially when you don't get paid. It's even harder when you're doing it on a college student's budget. I don't feel terribly comfortable asking strangers for cash donations, but quite a few of my development servers, and the web server that hosts this site, are beginning to age (well, they're 10-year-old used machines). If you happen to have any spare machines around (specifically with a RAID controller that's supported by Solaris 10, as I'm going to be moving some machines to it) I'd be more than happy to cover shipping.
